Just a few months ago, SS Nolan Williams (Turner HS, KS) was in The Buzz for reclassifying from the 2017 class to 2016. After appearances at a couple national events, Williams’ name is buzzing again as he has verbally committed to Louisiana State. A quick-twitch athlete, Williams is a plus runner with bat speed from both sides of the plate. His toolset makes him an intriguing prospect to scouts for the draft, but his overall game remains raw. He’s put together well at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds and can impact the baseball when he makes contact with his short, quick swing. He is currently ranked fourth in Kansas and 42nd in the Overall Rankings.
