Uncommitted Spotlight: McCarthy Sets High Goals For Future

Nolan McCarthy SS / RHP / Portage Northern, MI / 2020

PORTAGE - Nolan McCarthy has a good idea about what he is looking for in his baseball future.

“Michigan, another Big 10 school or Duke” are goals McCarthy has in regard to where he hopes to go to college and play ball.

How to get there is the uncertainty.

“I’m not sure what it’s going to be like,” the Portage Northern sophomore said about the recruiting process. “I hope it all plays out like I want it to, but the process is a struggle right now. I just hope it falls into place and is all worth it.”

To date, McCarthy has not made any college visits. The focus thus far has been on getting his name out there and getting seen.
