Upcoming Unsigned Senior Showcase: Plenty of Good Talent Attending

By Mike Penn
Director of Scouting

They say that history repeats itself.  It appears that the old adage will be proven once again this coming Sunday at Albion College.

Albion is the site of the last Unsigned Senior Showcase of the offseason. This showcase is already starting to shape up well. In fact, there is a little something for everyone.

Sam Shutes (Three Rivers HS)
Brady Hardin (Detroit Catholic Central HS) are both hard throwing righties that should be fun to watch.  Jacob Fielding (Coldwater HS) has a 33 ACT score.  Billy Malak (Bishop Foley HS) may not be the flashiest player but he is a state champion and can swing it from the left side. Michael Sielinski (Swan Valley HS) is a strong catcher who has been under-the-radar for some time now.

The previous Unsigned Senior Showcase on October proved to not only be loaded with talent but it also proved that if a player shows well they will have an opportunity to be signed. Since the conclusion of that showcase nine players have committed to play college baseball.
