Brend was lost this winter with an injury to his knee. The Lightning will need to find someone to fill the quality innings they were expecting from him on the mound.

2015 OUTLOOK
14 year veteran Head Coach Tom Strey feels good about his squad entering the 2015 spring season. Strey feels that Eastview will have the chance to compete for a conference and sectional title. Pitching should be a strength even with the loss of one of their top pitchers (Dylan Brend) from last year due to injury. They have a strong senior class and some experience returning that looks to build on the success they had at the end of 2014. Leading the group will be U. of Minnesota commit Cole McDevitt behind the dish.
