Scouting Report

6/20/17- 6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. TeBrake became one of the hottest names of the summer after his performance at the MN TPG event. Previously un-ranked, and relatively unknown, TeBrake consistently pumped 87-90 mph fastballs for strikes with heavy running action. The changeup is thrown with good arm speed with tumbling action to plate. At times the breaking ball is inconsistent; but flashes chance to be solid/above avg. pitch down the road. 7.22 runner. Preset hands, short load, easy leg kick trigger, pull approach, collapses at contact, flashes above avg. pop in bat, 90 mph exit velocity. Active fielder with good feet, moves well around bag, sure hands, solid around bag, 80 mph arm across infield. TeBrake recently committed to Creighton University after being heavily followed this summer.

PBR:  Why did you choose Creighton?
Dylan: I just felt that it was the best fit. The coaches, the location, the scholarship offer, and the academics were all plus factors.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?
Dylan: University of Minnesota, NDSU, Xavier, and Augustana

PBR:  Where did they first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
Dylan: Coach Wallace first saw me at the PBR Top Prospect event and the coaching staff followed my summer team to tournaments in Nashville and Indianapolis.

PBR: What role do you expect to play your first year on campus?
Dylan: I plan on competing for a spot in their rotation right away as a freshman.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Dylan: All of my past coaches.

PBR: What have you worked on/improved since last year?
Dylan: I worked on getting stronger and developing more fundamental mechanics. I have been able to use that to become a better all around pitcher.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have played against or with?
Dylan: Gus Radel from Sioux Falls.

PBR:  What are your thoughts on the recruiting process? Any advice for younger players who have the desire to play college baseball.
Dylan: It can get very stressful, but it's a fun ride! Advice: stay patient!
