PBR: Why did you choose Iowa Western CC?
I chose Iowa Western Community College because I thought it was a great fit academically and baseball-wise. I really like the coaches at this program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was considering the University of Minnesota, Iowa Central CC and University of North Dakota before they dropped their program.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
The coaches first saw me at a PBR event. They gave me a call a few days after the showcase and I took a visit a couple weeks after that.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
I am extremely relieved that I am done with the recruiting process. It was an enjoyable ride and I'm really looking forward to IWCC.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Just the way they run their program.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
The people that have helped me the most have been my dad, my youth coaches Robb Gamm and Brian Raabe, and my high school coach Kevin McDermott.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
I didn't really know what to expect for the process. I didn't think it would take as long as it did.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
They want me to hit in the middle of the order and play 1st base, catcher and outfield.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Winning the legion state tournament, playing in the high school state tournament and playing at Target Field when I was 14.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
The best player I have ever faced was probably Sean Hjelle or Cole Gnetz.
