Scouting Report

6/16/15- MN Top Prospect
6-foot-1, 165-pound 2-way player. Lean build. 7.44 runner. Looks to be able to continue to add strength to frame. Some whip to swing. Has good balance through swing with separation after contact. Shoulder load with some length to contact. 77 mph exit velocity off tee. Showed solid actions in field with usable glove and a clean accurate arm. 80 mph arm strength across infield. Schulze had a very good Spring on the mound for his high school team. His fastball was 85-88 mph with good extension to the plate. Arm is loose and clean from high ¾ slot. Flashes tight rotation at times with breaking ball at 71-72 mph. Splitter was an above average offering with depth at 75-78 mph. Schulze is a High Follow with many colleges tracking his progress through the summer.

August 2014: 6-foot, 170-pound 2 way player. 4.35 home to first time. Right handed hitter with easy load-stride-swing mechanics. Very good bat plane. Short to contact with good leverage and finish through contact. Middle to pull approach with ok power to pull side. 83 mph exit velocity. Shows easy actions in field with ability to slow the game down.  Uses athleticism to work through routine ground balls and make online accurate throws across.  Has above average feet and hands without a lot of flash. 78 mph velocity across infield. On the mound has simple mechanics, good balance point, and quality direction to home.  Arm works free and easy producing 82-85 mph fastball down in the zone for strikes with hard late sinking action. Curveball had 11/5 shape with late biting action. 64-67 mph. Changeup showed near FB arm speed with late sink.  Overall Hard Follow as 2 way player.  Shows loose athletic actions in all areas.
