The PBR MN Preseason Underclass event for 2025 grads is coming to the Edina Dome on Saturday, March 19th, 2022.

This invite-only showcase spotlights some of the best up-and-coming young talent from Minnesota and the surrounding region. In previous years, the freshman class was paired with the sophomore class but this year will be the first ever event that highlights the freshman class on their own. This Preseason Underclass event is anticipated to be a launching pad for prospects in the class of 2025.

One name to keep tabs on is Waconia’s RHP Landon Majerus. At 6-foot-4, 195-pounds, Majerus already looks the part from the time he takes the mound. Last summer, at the Jr Futures Games, Majerus saw his fastball get up to 85 mph with solid feel of his secondary pitches. Currently ranked 237th nationally in PBR’s 2025 class, the big right-hander looks to build upon his young resume at this year's event.

Another name to watch is Luke Ryerse out of East Ridge High School. Ryerse is a talented two-player who made quite the impact with his bat this past summer. Physically built at 6-foot, 180-pounds, he carries that strength with him into the box and on the mound. The young arm possesses an upper 70s fastball and touched 81 mph last March in addition to a consistent swing that delivers hard, line drive contact that we saw plenty of at the Jr. Future Games. With continued development, the young talent has a chance to become a possible top two-way player in Minnesota.

Follow along throughout the event on both Twitter (@PBRMinnesota) and Instagram (PBRMinnesota) as we will be updating you live throughout the entire event.

A multitude of players will jump to the forefront in their respective classes with their performances at the event and we look forward to seeing everyone on March 19th!
