Name: Nick Morreale
Position: RHP
Class: 2016
Height/Weight: 6-foot-4, 200-pounds
High School: St. Thomas Academy- IMG Academy
PBR Rank: #35 in MN 2016 Class

PBR: Why did you choose Georgetown?
MORREALE: I chose Georgetown because it was a perfect fit. The combination of athletics, academics, and location was just right for me. I wanted to attend a school where I would be able to get a world-class education while also playing great baseball.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
MORREALE: I was considering Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Creighton, James Madison, Fordham, Cornell, Davidson, and a few others.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
MORREALE: Coach Supplee saw me for the first time as a pitcher at the beginning of July this summer.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
MORREALE: Absolutely. The process can be stressful at times, you really need to invest yourself if you want to get seen. It has been great just focusing on baseball and preparing for the season this spring.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
MORREALE: Georgetown has a great business program and I was offered a scholarship that I could not turn down.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
MORREALE: I have had the pleasure of working with many great coaches throughout my career, but the one who has helped the most with getting me to where I am today is Jim Lovejoy, the manager of the East Cobb Patriots. I would be remiss if I failed to mention both my mom and my dad for providing me with the best opportunities for success in baseball and in my education.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
MORREALE: I had no idea how much of a time commitment it would be. It can be difficult but it is important to get your name out there and attend events that will get you the most exposure possible.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
MORREALE: The plan right now is for me to come in next year and be an impact starter.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
MORREALE: Pitching at Diamond Nation this summer in New Jersey.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
MORREALE: Mitch Keller from Iowa who is in the Pirates organization now.
