6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed pitcher.  2018 Future Games Participant.  Good body and athletic presence on mound.  Smooth tempo in delivery.  Good balance and direction down mound.  Good extension out front.  Arm is clean and throws from a higher ¾ arm slot.  Ball jumps out of hand.  Fastball has cut action thrown at 90-91 mph.  Curveball has 11/5 late break with above average shape and spin at 73-74 mph.  Change-up has average action thrown at 79-82 mph.  One of the top performers at event.  Strong follow on mound in 2020 class.

8/04/18

2018 PBR Future Games- Kirchoffner got off to a fast start with a FB 87-88 and a +CH at 77-79 with heavy arm side fade that produced multiple swing and misses. Coupled with a BB at 68-71 with 11/5 tumbling action. Offensively was 2/7 with a single and double.

6/17/18

6/17/18-  6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #109 ranked player in PBR 2020 Overall. 7.00 runner. Projectable frame with solid present strength and physicality, Square stance, body load, line drive contact, aggressive swinger, flashes pop in bat to pull side, 92 mph exit velocity. Above avg. actions in field, solid athleticism, above avg. arm, ball carries to target with accurate online throws to target, 91 mph arm from outfield. On mound; works up and over front side, ball jumps out of hand, athletic actions on mound, inconsistent release point and command occasionally. 3/17/18

3/17/18- Ranked #109 in PBR Overall Rankings for the 2020 class nationally. Kirchoffner was one of my favorite underclass arms at this event a year ago, and he was even more impressive on this day. An inch taller at 6-foot-2, and 20 pounds heavier at 190-pounds, Kirchoffner looked the part of a future starter at the next level during his bullpen session. He pounded the zone with his fastball at 87-88 remaining compact throughout his delivery before throwing over a high front shoulder. I found the stride to be a bit shorter, but that only leaves room for him to get even greater use out of his legs which should allow for his velocity to bump up even higher moving forward. Almost ripping the ball out of his mitt, Kirchoffner’s quicker arm swing gave way to a quick hand out of a high ¾ slot. There is some effort out front, but he remains linear throughout while getting extended to the plate. He pounded the zone and exhibited feel for an above average changeup at 73-76 that featured late-fading action. His curveball had tight spin with sharp break in 11/5 shape. He spun it with intent and confidence and it has a chance to be a swing and miss pitch moving forward. With the feel that he shows for three pitches and with more velocity on the way, expect Kirchoffner to be closely followed throughout the spring and summer by college recruiters. Along with his performance on the mound; Kirchoffner ran a 7.02 60, posted an 86 mph exit velocity, and was 89 mph from the outfield. Tall and athletic in box, leg lift trigger, clean swing plane, utilizes a mid/pull approach, and shows ability to drive the baseball to pull side of field. Moves well in field, long strides, fields in rhythm, and showcases an above avg. arm from the outfield.

3/18/17

3/18/17- 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Long and lanky frame. Crisp, repeatable delivery with a front shoulder tilt coming down the mound. Limited push from his back side, but was still able to sit 83-84. There is much more in the tank as he learns to use his legs. Easy arm action with some effort right at the end with a head jerk. Uptempo delivery and worked super quick. High ¾ to OTT slot. Multi-tier breaking ball that he babied some (65-68), but should have chance to develop and be an above avg. pitch. 6.82 runner. Upright stance, knee to knee trigger, slight inverted C load, some length to contact, solid pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 82 mph exit velocity. Solid/avg. defensive action, fields routine, plays through ball, uses momentum on throws, 89 mph from the outfield with loose carry and accuracy to target.
