Prep Baseball Minnesota Top Uncommitted 2027s: Catchers

MINNESOTA - As we're the midst of the fall season, we're unpacking the top uncommitted players by position from each class. Today we are looking at the best available catchers in the land of 10,000 lakes.

TOP UNCOMMITTED CATCHERS

Brady Keane C / 3B / Totino-Grace, MN / 2027

Keane holds an athletic fram with physical tools behind the dish. Totino-Grace's catcher recoded pop times in the 1.97-2.08 range while showing a rocket 80 mph arm behind the plate. Bat plays with more output in the tank.

 

 

Broc Kamon C / SS / Wayzata High, MN / 2027

Athletic build at 6-0 182lbs and lets it show throughout his game. Kamons metrics don't jump out currently, but the physical actions are there from the Wayzata native.  

 

Max Prideaux C / SS / Stillwater Area High School, MN / 2027

At the 2026 Preseason All State, Prideaux showed a fluid swing in the box and simple actions behind the plate. An athlete with strength to add to frame. 

 

 

Max Watson C / 1B / Minnetonka Senior High, MN / 2027

A 6-2, 205lbs left handed hitter to dream on. High end metrics on both sides of the ball and has carried him well into the fall months. 

 

 

Owen Schuster C / 2B / Rockford Secondary, MN / 2027

Schuster showcased a compact frame with plenty of pop to come from. Upper 90s exit velos and an 80+ MPH arm from behind the dish.

 

 

 

Koltin Kolbinger C / 1B / Mankato East Senior High, MN / 2027

XL Frame at 6-4, 220lbs, Kolbinger showcased the highest end of outputs at the plate. Ran his BP exit velo up to 105.9 while showing more than serviceable metrics from behind the plate. 

 

 

Nicholas Jeske C / RHP / Spectrum High School, MN / 2027

Another catcher with an upper-70s arm and output at the dish. Spectrum's Jeske needs refinement in some areas of his game, but has next level potential as a catcher.

 

 

Jake Sletten C / OF / Andover High School, MN / 2027

Andover's Sletten displays solid offensive tools with a 94.1 mph max exit velo, 87.4 mph average at the Preseason All State. Defensively, he shows 2.08-2.21 pop times behind the plate with a 75 mph arm. 

 

 

Ty Berchtold C / RHP / South St. Paul High School, MN / 2027

Berchtold is a 5'10", 173.5-lb catcher/right-handed pitcher from South St. Paul with a 96.7 mph max exit velo and 84.2 mph average exit velo. Behind the plate, he shows 2.06-2.13 pop times with a 78 mph throwing velocity and a 6.76 60-yard dash time.

 

 

Cade Goergen C / 3B / Century Senior High, MN / 2027

Goergen displayed higher end offensive outputs with a 100.9 mph max exit velo, 96.7 mph average exit velo, and 330-foot max distance with 100% hard hit rate. Defensively, he posts 2.14-2.20 pop times with a 79 mph catcher's throw and a 7.08 60-yard dash time.
