On Saturday, October 25, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the End of Fall Prospect ID at Francis Howell.  The event featured four uncommitted players in the 2015 class, nine players in the 2016 class, four from the 2017 class and three from the 2018 class.  The players and their evaluations from every position are listed below.  Player are listed in alphabetical order.

Individual Player Analysis

Jacob Bonzckowski, C/RHP, Lutheran South, 2017
Bonczkowski is an athletic 6-foot 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 81-83 mph, 11-to-5 curveball at 69-70 mph, late/sharp break, fastball arm speed, great feel for curveball, change-up at 75-76 mph, high ¾ delivery, throws with maximum effort, very quick rhythm, quick arm speed, athletic finish. Behind the plate, 76 mph positional velo, pop times between 2.00 and 2.13, quick/clean exchange. At the plate, line drive approach gap-to-gap, 85 mph exit velo, short stride, smooth load, level to extension, 4.81 home-to-first, 7.66 60 time.

Zack Gibbs, C, Wentzville-Holt, 2017
Gibbs is an athletic 6-foot 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 80-86 mph, runs inside to RHH, 12-to-6 curveball at 71-74 mph, late/sharp break, fastball arm speed, great feel for curveball, change-up at 67-72 mph, change-up slows arm down a bit with good feel and good sink, high ¾ delivery, throws with regular effort, drop and drive, quick arm speed, athletic finish, square landing. Behind the plate, 73 mph positional velo, pop times between 1.97 and 2.10, quick/clean exchange. At the plate, middle to pull approach, 88 mph exit velo, athletic set-up, smooth load, pull power, level to extension, 4.71 home-to-first, 7.69 60 time.

Brendan Glock, OF, Marquette, 2016
Glock is a strong athletic 6-foot-1 195-pound right hand hitting outfielder. From the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, quick/clean exchange, fluid footwork. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, 83 mph exit velo, smooth load, fast bat speed, level to extension, gap-to-gap approach, 4.69 home-to-first, 7.31 60 time.

Alex Hanft, RHP, Seckman, 2015
Hanft is a strong 6-foot-1 185-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed, athletic finish. Fastball velocity ranges from 81-83 mph, 11-to-5 curveball with late break at 61-63 mph. He throws a 73-74 mph change-up at near fastball arm speed with some sink, knuckleball at 69 mph, with sink.

Nathaniel Hillerman, RHP/OF, Borgia, 2015
Hillerman is a strong, athletic 6-foot-2 200-pound right hand hitting outfielder. From the outfield, 87 mph positional velo, quick/clean exchange, life and carry on throw. At the plate, open stance, 90 mph exit velo, smooth load, fast bat speed, level to extension, pull power, 4.62 home-to-first, 7.06 60 time. On the mound, fastball at 83-85 mph, works both sides of plate, 12-to-6 curveball at 66-71 mph with sharp/late break, splitter at 67-70 mph, over-the-top delivery, throws with regular effort, quick arm speed, strong lower half, smooth rhythm and level shoulders.

Zach Honold, LHP, CBC, 2015
Honold is a 5-foot-10, 150-pound left-handed pitcher.  Over-the-top arm slot with long arm action, throws with regular effort. He had a fastball velocity range of 67-72 MPH. His curveball was at 61-64 MPH with 1/7 shape. Zach’s change-up ranged from 61-63 with near fastball arm speed and slight sink.

Samuel Huesgen, OF, Timberland, 2016
Huesgen is a strong 6-foot-0, 165-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. Posted a home-to-first time of 4.72 and a 60 time of 7.40. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed, mostly accurate throws with carry, fluid footwork with a clean exchange, position velo of 83 mph. At the plate, Huesgen has a balanced setup, with fast bat speed to extension, line drive approach to both gaps, exit velo of 85 mph.  On the mound,  he has a high ¾ delivery and loose arm action, throws with easy effort and has smooth rhythm, fastball velocity range of 78-81 MPH, His curveball was at 65-68 mph with 11/5 shape, displayed a change-up at 68-70 MPH with sink.

Zack Hunsicker, 3B,RHP, Francis Howell, 2017
Hunsicker is a projectable 6-foot-3 202-pound right hand hitting third baseman. From the infield, 81 mph positional velo with life, somewhat accurate throws. At the plate, open stance, short stride, 85 mph exit velo, smooth load, fast bat speed, level to extension, pull power, 5.21 home-to-first, 7.59 60 time. On the mound, fastball at 78-81 mph with cut, 12-to-6 curveball at 67-70 mph with sharp/late break, change-up at 67-72 mph, over-the-top delivery, throws with regular effort, tall and fall style, quick arm speed, strong lower half, throws strikes, long limbs, has ability to throw three pitches in the zone.

Cody Lampe, C, Fort Zumwalt East, 2017
Lampe is an athletic strong 6-foot 165-pound C/OF. Behind the plate, 70 mph positional velo, pop times between 2.06 and 2.19, quick/clean exchange. From the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, very accurate throws. At the plate, open stance, line drive approach to both gaps, 78 mph exit velo, short stride, smooth load, level to extension, 4.47 home-to-first, 7.47 60 time.

Justin Lockwood, C, Fort Zumwalt South, 2016
Lockwood is a strong, athletic 6-foot-0 170-pound left-handed hitting catcher. He ran a home-to-first time of 4.75 and a 60 time of 7.41. Justin throws from an over-the-top arm slot and has short arm action. His throws were accurate and had life. His position velo was 74 mph from catcher and 75 mph on the infield. Lockwood had a POP range of 2.04-2.14. At the plate, Lockwood has an open setup, smooth load and short stride, maintains a level bat path with fast bat speed, sings of pull power, consistent line drives to middle of field during batting practice, exit velo of 85 mph.

Chris Lopez, Jr., LHP, Parkway West, 2018
Lopez Jr. is an athletic 5-foot-8, 145-pound left-handed pitcher. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with quick arm speed, loose arm action and throws with regular effort, shoulders stay level and finishes in an athletic position, fastball velocity range of 69-76 mph, curveball was at 57-58 mph with 1/7 shape, late break, good command, change-up ranged from 58-63 mph with near fastball arm speed with some cut action. Overall, throws strikes with three pitches with easy delivery.

Logan McCall, RHP, Westminster, 2016
McCall is a strong 6-foot-1 203-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 81-83 mph, 12-to-6 curveball at 67-68 mph with sharp/late break at near fastball arm speed, change-up at 74-78 mph, over-the-top delivery, throws with easy effort, tall and fall style, long/loose arm action, in the zone with three pitches, repeatable delivery.

Jason Needham, 1B/RHP, Staley, 2016
Needham is a strong 5-foot-7 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 70-74 mph, 11-to-5 curveball at 63-64 mph, sharp break, slider at 62-65, slider is best pitch, good feel, change-up at 62-65 mph, high ¾ delivery, throws with easy effort, very quick rhythm, loose arm action, command of all 4 pitches. On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, quick/clean exchange. At the plate, gap-to-gap approach, 78 mph exit velo, short stride, smooth load, level to extension, squared most balls up, stays balanced through swing, 5.25 home-to-first, 8.31 60 time.

Benjamin Sems, 2B/MIF, Westminster, 2016
Sems is a 6-foot-0, 142-pound left-hand hitting shortstop. Home-to-first time of 4.65 and a 60 time of 7.44. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, throws are very accurate with a quick release, aggressive on his approach to the ball, plays through the ball, solid footwork and soft hands, position velo was 78 mph. At the plate, Ben has an athletic setup with a long stride, good balance through his swing and fast bat speed, shows ability to hit to all fields, consistent quality contact during batting practice. Ben consistently squared, exit velo of 85 mph

Robert Shifrin, SS, Parkway Central, 2016
Shifrin is a lanky 5-foot-7, 140-pound right-hand hitting catcher. He ran a home-to-first time of 4.84, over-the-top arm slot and has short arm action, throws were accurate, position velo was 75 mph from the infield and 70 from behind the plate. Shifrin had a POP range of 2.25-2.50. At the plate, slightly open setup with a back some hand load, works inside the ball and maintains a level bat path, gap-to-gap approach, consistent line drives during batting practice, exit velo of 70 mph.

Tristan Steffens, 2B/MIF, Fulton, 2016
Steffens is an athletic 5-foot-8, 150-pound right-hand hitting infielder. Home-to-first time of 4.98 and 60 time of 7.81, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action, throws were accurate with life. Tristan has fluid footwork with a clean exchange, position velo was 74 mph on the infield. At the plate, Steffens has a balanced athletic setup with a short stride, line drive approach to pull side, exit velo of 78 mph.

Evan Stoll, OF/RHP, Marquette, 2016
Stoll is a highly projectable 6-foot-3 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 85-90 mph, 12-to-6 curveball at 66-73 mph, change-up at 75-82 mph, over-the-top delivery, throws with some effort, quick arm speed, strike thrower, strong lower half, smooth rhythm and level shoulders. From the outfield, 90 mph positional velo, throws have life, quick/clean exchange, aggressive to the ball. At the plate, pull power potential, 85 mph exit velo, long stride, fast/aggressive bat speed during batting practice, level to extension, stays balanced through swing, 4.81 home-to-first, 7.35 60 time.

Andrew Wait, 2B, Marquette, 2017
Wait is a wiry 5-foot-9, 130-pound right-handed pitcher. Low ¾ arm slot with "slinging" release, throws with regular effort, smooth rhythm, and loose arm action, fastball velocity range of 75-77 mph with run, curveball was at 63-67 mph with 10/4 shape with late action, change-up at 68-71 mph with near fastball arm speed and good sink, worked in the zone consistently.  Posted a home-to-first time of 4.97 and a 60 time of 7.65. On the infield, low ¾ arm slot and loose arm action, throws with more accuracy on infield than outfield, position velo was 81 mph from the outfield and 76 mph on the infield. At the plate, Wait had a balanced open setup, line drive approach to middle of the field, signs of power to pull gap, exit velo of 78 mph.

Will Whiteman, RHP, Francis Howell, 2015
Whiteman is a strong 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Fastball at 77-81 mph with late run, 12-to-6 shape curveball at 68-75 mph, sharp break and good command, change-up at 73-78 mph, high ¾ delivery, throws with easy effort, tall and fall pitcher, loose arm action, strike thrower with three pitches, repeatable release point.
