The Branson Pirates look to improve on a an 11-13 record from a season ago, with a strong senior class and talented group of juniors.  Junior Chad Reusch was impressive athletically and physically at the Winter ID Showcase on Feb. 21.  Reusch is a strong 5-foot-11 170-pound OF/RHP with a positional velo of 83 mph and an exit velo of 84 mph.  He showed good speed with a 4.29 home-to-first.  Junior Matthew Allison, is a 6-foot 170-pound RHP with a loose arm action and was clocked a 81 mph this winter.  He has a 12-to-6 curveball at 66-68 mph and a change-up at 68-71 mph.  Branson has a winning tradition in baseball and is looking for its first Central Ozarks Conference championship since 2012 and first District title since 2013.  The Pirates open the season on March 21 against Carl Junction in the Lael Lead-Off Tounament, followed by match-ups against Webb City, Nixa and Logan-Rogersville.  They will be tested early and prepared for conference play in April.
