OUTLOOK
The Eagles were a game way from the Missouri Class 5 Final Four, but a 5-4 loss at the hand of eventual state champion Rock Bridge ended their season.  In 2015, the Eagle look to take the next step end their season at T.R. Hughes in early June.  Nixa will feature 6-foot-5 215-pound RHP Jake Ruder on the mound.  The Kansas State commit, can dominate any team at any time, as evidence of his no-hit shut-out against Williard in the state playoffs last season.  The Eagle will also have seniors Dustin Sipes, Grayston Scott, and Colin Chandler to eat up innings on the mound.  All four have varsity experience and should contribute in the teams success in the spring.  Junior RHP Luke Hauswirth will also see innings for the Eagles.  Last fall, Hauswirth showed a fastball in the low 80's and the athleticism to play in the middle infield.  Senior OF Patirck Hoerning, is on of the top uncommitted players in the state.  Hoerning runs a 6.7 60 and an 86 mph velo from the outfield.  Hoerning also arm strength on the mound, with a max fastball of 86 mph.  Freshman SS Brett Hammit is a player to follow.  Hammit could emerge as on the states top shortstops in the years to come.  The Eagles will be deep on the mound, which could lead them on a run deep into the state playoffs.  They open the season just out of the MHSBCA top ten.  Their season opens at the Branson Lead-off Tournament on March 21, against some of the top teams in Missouri.
