Season Outlook
In 2015, Fort Zumwalt South lost five games in extra innings and look to improve defensively, especially in late game situations.  They return four position players from a year ago, led by one of the top catchers in the state, senior C Justin Lockwood.  The Saint Louis recruit, batted .330 last season hitting 5 doubles and driving in 16 runs.  The Bulldogs also return sophomore OF Gage Dwyer, who earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors as a freshman, hitting .330 with on home run and a team-high 20 RBI.  Junior P Drake Whaley worked 48-plus innings last year, and will be the Bulldogs pitcher with the most varsity experience.  Senior OF Hunter McDonald led the team with three home runs last season and will return as a big part of the Bulldog line up in 2016.  This spring, the Bulldogs will be chasing their ninth district championship and their third Final Four appearance since 1996.
