Season Outlook
Few teams have been as successful at Logan-Rogersville over the past three seasons. The Wildcats have accumulated a 70-19 record with three conference and district titles and two Final Four appearances with a third place finish.  Team success should continue in 2016 as well, but this year's team will have big shoes to fill from several players graduating.  Including St. Louis Cardinals 12th round pick, Jacob Schlesener.  They return two players with All-State honors from a season ago in junior IF Jordan Fitzpatrick and senior LHP/OF Jacob Zahn.  Fitzpatrick will be a three-year starter this spring, earning All-State awards in each of first two seasons.  He hit over .400 the last two seasons hitting leadoff and will likely move down in the order this year to become more of a run producer. Zahn is a crafty lefty on the mound, but his 2015 All-State accolades came as an outfielder.  The Wildcats will also have All-District 3B Brett Denney returning in the middle of the order.  Denney is a physical 6-foot-1 197-pound athlete with power potential at the plate and competitor on the mound with a fastball in the mid 80's.  Logan Rogersville will have several newcomers to fill the shoes of the graduating players as the Wildcats look to continue the success they have had over the past three seasons.  The Wildcats will open the season ranked #2 in the MHSBCA Preseason Poll.
