Helias Catholic finished with a 21-9 record last season, won their 21st district championhsip and reached the Elite Eight in the state playoffs. This season, the Crusaders enter the season ranked number five in Class 4, returning five position players and two pitchers from 2016.  They will have experienced players from last year's team and the expectations are high in Jefferson City.  Senior RHP Tyler Cassmeyer, senior OF Zach Stiles and junior 2B Parker Schniders all received All-District honors in 2016 and look to build on last years success. Watch for Cole Fennewald to play an increased role this season, both in the field and on the mound, while juniors Austin Fennewald and Alex Buschjost make an impact this spring in the outfield and behind the plate, respectively. The Crusaders are poised and ready to make another run at the state championship this spring and claim their 22nd district title.
