Season Outlook
The Indians will return nine pitchers that combined for 18 wins 2016, and started as many as seven sophomores at various times.  In 2017, Holt will look for improve the school record 22 wins they set last year.  No doubt the Indians will look to their junior class to make a run in the state playoff in May.  Leading the way will junior SS and 2nd Team All-GAC Nick Schmidt.  Schmidt also represented Missouri at the PBR Future Games last August, and will also contribute on the mound.  Juniors Nick Wilke and Hayden Cooper earned 1st Team All-GAC honors last year, while Cody Hacker and Jacob Thompson earned second team accolades.  The Indians lost to eventual state champion Francis Howell in district play, but will have an experienced and talented group to build on last season's success.
