Royals Scout 5 White Sox ACE 2
In a well-played game with prospects littered all over the field, the Royals Scout team took advantage of some early opportunities to hold on for a 5-2 victory. The Royals got a late insurance run thanks to 2020 SS Griffin Henry’s RBI single up the middle.

Reports:

Robert Moore SS / 2B / Shawnee Mission East, KS / 2020

Moore, an Arkansas recruit, led off the game with an impressive at-bat from the leadoff spot. He saw multiple pitches, and worked the count deep including blasting a deep foul ball home run over the right field wall. The at-bat culminated in a line drive single to the opposite field. Smaller-framed at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Moore’s presence is much bigger on the diamond. He is a wizard with the glove, possessing twitchy, confident hands to go with a quick, accurate arm that makes him one of the elite defenders in the 2020 class. At the plate, the left-handed hitter tracks pitches confidently, and has the poise in the box of a much more experience, older player. His quick hands allow him to drive through the zone, and he appears to have present gap to gap power.
