Fall Prospect Showcase Results



An impressve group of pitchers and catchers were on display for college coaches and PBR scouts on Saturday, October 13th at Maryville University. The participants showed their overall abilty, and surprising with overall athleticism and speed.

Overall, there were nine sub 7.0 60s, led by C Michael Pickerell from Rolla (a two sport standout) with a 6.78. Pickerell also posted the top velo from behind the plate, throwing 79-mph from the crouch. C Tanner Brown from Pacific posted the top pop time of the event, with an accurate 1.89.

On the mound, RHP Jonathan Riley from Oak Park had the top velocity, topping at 85-mph, followed by Mick Layton (SLUH), Alex Hoffman (Vianney), and Tom Kalish (DeSmet) topping at 83-mph.

There were also a number of two way players, led by C/SS Austin (Francis Howell) with a top throw of 78-mph across the diamond and OF/LHP Hank Vandaveer (Pacific) with a top throw of 76-mph from the outfield.
