JUCO Player Spotlight - KCK: Cole Slibowski

The currently uncommitted Covid-Freshman infielder is having a big season for KCK working out of the leadoff spot.  He's hitting .384 with 5 doubles and has 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts.  He has really good control of the strike zone with only 8 strikeouts while drawing 15 walks.  Slibowski has a very controlled swing with a flat bat path and shows ability to hit line drives to all fields.  Defensively he shows solid actions with an adequate arm and fielding a respectable .957 out of the 2b spot.  He's shown good range this Spring as well as being quick around the bag on double plays.  Slibowski projects to stay at second base at the next level and will bring a tough-out approach to a lineup looking for players that compete every at bat.
