KC Top Prospect ID Showcase Results
August 15, 2012
It was a damp day at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, a feeling we have not been accustomed to this hot, dry summer. But a little drizzle didn't hamper the ability of the players in attendance for today's event. The talent overcame wet conditions to impress PBR scouts and college coaches, and increase their stock as recruiting season heats up.
Some highlights from today's event:
- LHP Dalton Moats showed why his is one of the top Class of 2013 prospects, with a fastball topping at 87-mph. Moats also had the top outfield arm at 85-mph with all throws on a line.
- David Stober from Blue Springs recorded the top infield arm, 80-mph across the diamond.
- Class of 2015 C/RHP Brian Sharp made a name for himself with a top pop time of 1.98. He also showed a heavy 85-mph fastball on the mound and a strong left handed swing. This is a player to watch the next few years.
Complete coverage of the event to follow in the next few days, with individual player write-ups.
