Kansas City Prospect ID Showcase Results

The Prospect ID Showcase at The Yard Training Facility in Lee's Summit had some high end propsects that didn't disappoint, as well as some breakout performances from some unknown players who showed some potential.

Highlights from the showcase include:
-Class of 2012 LHP Jeremy Mansur from Ray-Pec in his live BP session demonstrated pinpoint control of all three pitches and striking out all four batters he faced. Mansur's fastball topped out at 86 mph.

-Class of 2015 Jacob Schlesener from Logan-Rogersvile HS opened the eyes of all scouts in attendance. Schlesener is a long, lean, and very projectable 5-foot-11, 155-pound left handed pitcher who sat an easy 77-78 off the mound. This is a prospect who will be one to follow.

-Lebanon RHP Brad Archer showed a hard, late breaking 12-to-6 breaking ball, which was hands down the best pitch thrown all afternoon.

-Neosho OF/C/RHP Trey Turner (Class of 2014) showed his versatility with the top arm from the outfield (84 mph), 2.06 pop time, and fastball topping at 83 mph off the mound.

-Brock Hammit, a MIF from Nixa HS, recorded a 4.29 home-to-first time, the top time of the event.
