The rain continued to disrupt the schedule for the third consecutive day, but some baseball was still played. In limited action around the state:
Willard beat up on McDonald County 9-1. The offense was led by Jed Owen, who went two for three and Cole Teaford, who went two for four. Austin Reaves picked up the win on the mound, going four strong innings allowing one hit and striking out seven batters. The Willard pitching staff combined for fifteen strikeouts on the afternoon.
Hickman got by Southern Boone County 5 to 2. Colby Fitch (ranked No. 5 in the Class of 2014) went two for four at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. Four Hickman pitchers combined to strike out twelve batters in the winning effort.
Farmington came back from a 6-3 deficit to defeat Sullivan on a walk off walk with the bases loaded, 7-6. Alex Pinkston picked up the win in relief going three innings and allowing one run.
Poplar Bluff continued their hot streak, blanking Clearwater 12-0 in five innings.
Twin Rivers shut out Malden 2-0.
