Prep Baseball Report held the Mid-Eastern Missouri Open ID on July 26 in Washington, Missouri. Twenty-five players from around the eastern part of Missouri participated. Players ranged from the 2017 to 2020 classes.
Players profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velos and videos. College recruiters can see more information through their ScoutPlus subscription.
Today we finish up the break down of positions from the Mid-Eastern Missouri Open ID with the pitching analysis. Although, pitchers may have participated in other positions, this is just a look at the pitching performances. Click on the players name to see their profile.

Pitchers
Justin Bauersachs, RHP, Trico (IL), 2017
Bauersachs is a 6-foot-4 190-pound right-handed pitcher in Illinois’ 2017 class. He has a high three-quarters arm slot, quick arm, loose arm action, stays in line down the mound, throw with some effort, repeats delivery, fastball topped at 89 mph, sat 86-88 mph, some arm side run, sharp 11-to-5 breaking ball, 72-74 mph mostly, change up has fastball arm speed at 77-83 mph. Tall and lean frame, good pitcher frame.
Joe Darlin, RHP, Poplar Bluff, 2017
Darlin is a 6-foot-4 190-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri's 2017 class. Darlin was up to 87 mph with his fastball, sitting 84-85 mph, he has a high three quarters release, powerful delivery, throws with some effort and showed command of fastball, throws with downhill tilt. Breaking ball was 74-77 mph slider, change up at 76-78 mph.
Terry Davis, LHP, McCluer, 2017
Davis is a 5-foot-10 150-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. He has an over the top arm slot, slight twist at balance point, in line stride, accelerated down the mound, fastball at 73-74 mph, late 1-to-7 breaking ball at 61-65 mph, change up with near fastball arm speed, 65-70 mph.
Joe Faron, RHP, Francis Howell, 2018
Faron is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Faron has an over the top arm slot, throws downhill, showed command of three pitches, fastball at 79-80 mph, curveball has 12-to-6 action, some with late action, change up has slight sink at 68-71 mph, fastball arm action, repeats delivery, smooth rhythm and tempo, arm works, projectable frame.
Zachary Finley, RHP, Owensville, 2017
Finley is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. Finley has a tall and lean frame with clean arm action suitable for velo increases as he develops, slight tuck at balance point from wind up, strike thrower during bullpen, fastball at 78-82 mph, late run, 11-to-5 breaking ball at 61-62 mph, change up down in the zone, 72-73 mph.
Adam Gauzy, RHP, Washington, 2017
Gauzy is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. Gauzy has an over the top release, controlled delivery, in line stride, smooth rhythm, repeats, fastball at 77-79 mph, high percentage to strikes, curveball flashes depth, 12-to-6 action, 61-63 mph, controllable change up at 66-69 mph, near fastball arm speed.
Drew Hansel, RHP, Parkway South, 2020
Hansel is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Hansel works from an over the top release, hands work over the head in wind up, in line as he strides down the mound, fastball has some run at 73-74 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, showed to be a good pitch as he continues to develop, 55-60 mph, change up at 58-59 mph, near fastball arm speed.
Conrad Hansel, LHP, Parkway South, 2018
Hansel is a 5-foot-9 155-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Hansel has an over top arm slot, aggressive down the mound, slight pause at balance point in wind up, in line stride, fastball at 71-74 mph, slight run, 12-to-6 breaking ball, sharp action, 63-65 mph, change up has sink at 66-69 mph.
Josh Hoffmann, LHP, Parkway South, 2018
Hoffman is a 5-foot-11 160pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Hoffmann has an over the top release, has downhill tilt, controlled leg lift, aggressive down the mound, throws with some effort, showed command and ability to use both side of the plate, throws strikes both side of plate, fastball at 76 -77 mph, arm side run, breaking ball at 63-66 mph, some with sharp 12-to-6 action, change up at 69-71 mph, arm side run.
Garrett Juergens, RHP, Sullivan, 2019
Juergens is a 5-foot-7 137-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Juergens attacked the zone with a three pitch mix, high percentage of strike, loose arm action, controlled delivery, fastball at 75-79 mph, some flashing running action, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, sharp and late action, looks to be a good pitch as he continues to develop, 64-66 mph, controlled change up, fastball arm speed, 69 mph, compliments fastball.
Josef Keilholz, RHP, Fatima, 2019
Keilholz is a 5-foot-8 175-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Keilholz has an over the top release point, in line stride, aggressive tempo in delivery, fastball 75-79 mph, 12-to-6 shape curveball 64-67 mph, change up flashes arm side release, 67-69 mph, high percentage of strikes with three pitches.
Lucas Kunkel, RHP, Eureka, 2017
Kunkel is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. Kunkel has an long high three quarters arm slot, slinging action, lean frame, loose arm action, 81-83 mph fastball, downhill tilt, sharp 11-to-5 curveball, late break, looks to be a swing an miss pitch, change up at 75-77 mph, smooth delivery, shows ability to repeat.

Logsdon is a 6-foot-3 187-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Braden Smith, LHP, Gasconade County, 2019
Smith is a 6-foot-1 170-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Smith has an over the top release, legs swing and lifts to create momentum down the mound, in line stride, fastball at 73-76 mph, breaking has all 1-to-7 shape, gradual break, 64-66 mph, change up at 67 mph, repeats rhythm and mechanics in delivery.
Jackson Truesdell, RHP, Westran, 2019
Truesdell is a 6-foot 180-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Truesdell has an over the top release, hands stay high during delivery, controlled leg lift and in line stride, athletic finish, fastball at 77-78 mph, 12-to-6 shaped breaking ball at 59-60 mph, change up flashed sink, mostly 63-66 mph, near fastball arm speed.
