Class 5

#3 Liberty 5, #1 Liberty North 3
Liberty wins the re-match against cross-town rival 5-3.  Liberty scored four runs in the first highlighted by a pair of doubles by Joe Kinder and Brady Newland.  North never rebounded as Liberty's Jason Volkmann added an RBI single in the fifth to make it a 5-1 Blue Jay lead.  The Eagles added a pair of runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Brady Kaplan that scored Brian Sharp and a sacrifice fly by Payton Reid that scored Andrew Vogelbaugh. Kinder earned the win for the Blue Jays working 2.1 innings, allowing one earned run and striking out one.  Tyler Burrow struck out the final two batters to earn the save. 

#9 Marquette 10, Fox 9
Marquette moves to 21-4 taking the lead with a three-run sixth inning.  Matt Scheibel went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.  Keith Grieshaber doubled and drove in two, while Austin Powers drove in a pair and collected two hits.  Max Lipel went 2.2 innings, striking out two for the win.

Vianney finishes regular season at 25-7. 

Blue Springs South 1, Blue Springs
Reece Eddins stole the show, tossing a no-hitter against the rival Blue Springs. He went 7 innings allowing only 1 walk while racking up 13 strikeouts. His counterpart Devon Sesler was the tough luck loser, scattering 6 hits over 6 innings of work. Colton Pogue and Jacob Clark both went 2-for-3 for the Jaguars.

Joplin 2, Kickapoo 1
Logan Wiley’s effort results in a no-decision for Kickapoo. He scattered 5 hits and allowing only 1 earned run over 7 innings. Wiley piled up 11 strikeouts and walked 2 Eagles. Kealin Smith also received a no-decision for Joplin. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while striking out 7. Chris Leonardi and Johnny Maturino both had multi-hit games for Joplin.

Raymore-Peculiar 4, Lee's Summit North 1
Ray-Pec’s Kyle Wilson picks up the win allowing only 1 earned run over 6 innings. He scattered 4 hits while striking out 8. Ben Harris came on in the 7th inning to nail down the save. Miles Kilgore started for Lee’s Summit North and tossed 5 innings.  Chase Graf went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Panthers. Josh Scribner went 1-for-4 with a big RBI in the 1st inning for Ray-Pec.

Kearney 12, Winnetonka 1
Kearney beats Winnetonka 12-1. Zack Davis 2-4 4 RBI with another grand slam. Second GS in one week.
