Arkansas signee. 6-foot-5, 210-pounds Sits at No. 1 in the state’s senior class and No. 11 nationally. Took the mound in a conference game against Francis Howell and struck out nine batters over four scoreless innings. Ran his fastball up to 97 mph early, settling into the low-to-mid-90s throughout. Turned over a changeup at 81-85 mph, spun a breaking ball at 74-77 mph. Has struck out 27 batters over 10 â…“ innings pitched. Another MLB Draft follow to know in Missouri.
Wil Libbert, LHP, Blair Oaks, 2023
Missouri signee. 6-foot-1, 205-pounds. One of the top prospects in Missouri’s current senior class, slotted at No. 3 overall in the current 2023 rankings. Continues to perform as one of the more dominant players in the state on both sides of the ball. Struck out 16 batters over six two-hit innings in a look last week. Fastball touched 95, sat 89-93 mph from a fast high ¾ slot. Changeup proved to be the best secondary in this look, fading naturally to the arm side at 84-87 mph. Also spun a breaking ball at 78-82 mph with conviction/intent. A rising MLB Draft follow from the ‘Show Me’ state.
