July 9, 2017
By Illinois/Wisconsin Scouting Staff
The 3rd annual PBR ProCase - Midwest is coming Tuesday, July 11th to Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois. The event features the top 2018 players in the Midwest. Players will take part in a pro style workout followed by a game. The ProCase has turned into a preview for the Super 60, held each year on Super Bowl Sunday at the Max in McCook, Illinois.
The PBR ProCase, which is for prospects entering their senior year, has attracted the top talent in the MIdwest in year's past:
This year’s event is shaping up to be the best yet. There are currently just shy of 60 of the top 2018’s from 10 different Midwest states.
A few notables to keep an eye on come Tuesday are 3B Alex Binelas (Oak Creek, WI), C/3B Jeff Holtz (Arrowhead, WI), OF Alek Thomas (Mount Carmel, IL), C Jacob Campbell (Janesville Craig, WI), C Nicholas Juaire (Lakeville North, MN), RHP Luke Mann (Vianney, MO), RHP Max Alba (Franklin, WI) RHP Dillon Nowicki (Stoughton, WI), OF Miko Rodriguez (Forest Hills Central, MI), OF Zaid Walker (Homewood-Flossmoor, IL) among a number of others.
RHP Gus Radel (Sioux Falls Roosevelt, SD) will likely be one of the top uncommitted prospects in attendance. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound right-hander made a big jump since the 2016 Future Games and was up to 93 mph at an Iowa event this winter.
Gus Radel (3.5.17)
Wisconsin’s Tanner Kohlhepp (Eau Claire Memorial) is back on the market after de-committing from Arkansas. 6-foot-3, 180-pound, Kohlhepp, has a live, loose arm and a swing-and-miss slider.
