The Super 60 Pro Showcase on February 3^rd did not disappoint. Top players from our eight state coverage area performed in front of 80 plus MLB scouts and put on quite a show.  16 of 26 arms were 90+, 7 were 88-89. There were 16 sub 7.0 60s and 13 exit velos of 90 and above. 

One of six class of 2014 participants at the Super 60  was RHP Storm Rynard from Raymore-Peculiar HS. At the Midwest Future Games, Rynard showed his ability as a two-way player, setting the Future Games record with a throw of 91-mph across the diamond. At the Super 60, it was his pitching that put him among the top arms. No doubt that Rynard has a live arm, wheter it be in the field or on the mound.

Rynard showed good rhythm on the mound, and seemed to be comfortable and confident in all of his pitches. He has quick arm action and showed a late breaking, sharp 76-79 mph breaking ball that ranks among the top of the third of the pitchers.  His fastball sat 88-90 mph with some late life, and his change up was 78-81 with arm side movement. 

On his showing at the Super 60, Rynard told us, “I have extremely high standards and expectations of myself. I had hoped for more velocity, but felt like my changeup and slider were dirty. Putting it into perspective, it’s only the first of February and I am way ahead of where I was last year.” 

Rynard, who is committed to Arkansas, should continue to generate significant buzz over the next two years and had put himself in position to be a staple among the top Class of 2014 players in the Midwest. 

“I am fortunate that I am only a 2014, I am hopeful my performance has put me on the radar of some teams that had not had the opportunity to see me throw before,” said Rynard. “This was a great experience and a great way to start my 2013 season. I got to see how I stand up to some of the country’s best players. To become the best, you have to compete against the best!”
