Miller showed a heady approach at the Area Code Games, throwing all fastballs in his first inning as hitters didn’t prove they could do anything with it. He sat 88-90, touching 91-92, while getting good, downhill plane from a high-3/4 slot. He has a simple, easy delivery that stays in line. His curveball is a sharp pitch with depth and 1/7 shape. He has a big, strong frame at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. In three innings, he allowed just two walks while striking out five. At the Tournament of Stars, Miller allowed two runs on four hits in five innings while striking out five. He made it to the second phase of the 18U National Team trials after allowing just one walk in two innings of work in the first phase.
