Team Missouri Highlights from the Midwest Future Games

Once again, Missouri produced a team of players who were amoung the most impressive participants of the Midwest Future Games. Missouri went 1-0-2 in three games, defeating Illinois 8-2 and tying Pennsylvania 5-5 and Ohio 2-2. 

In pregame workouts prior to game one, Missouri players stood out with some of the best measurable of the event.

-OF/RHP Matt Vierling from CBC recording a top throw of 91-mph from the outfield.

-3B/RHP Ryan Mantle from Linn HS setting a new Future games record with a top infield velocity of 92-mph across the diamond.

C CJ Schaeffer from Timerland with a top pop time of  1.84 

Other top Missouri velocities include OF Justin Dirden from Ft. Zumwalt North with a top outfield throw of 89-mph, OF Marquise Doherty with a top OF throw of 87-mph, and infielders 3B Brian Sharp from Liberty North and Storme Cooper from Timberland with a top throws across the diamond of 85-mph.

On the basepaths, Doherty impressed with a 4.20 down the line, as well as stealing bases with easy, swiping four bags in game one.
