OUTLOOK:   

The Jaguars are big on talent and experience going into the 2014 season. The MHSBCA has ranked Blue Springs South as the Pre-Season #1 in Missouri Class 5. They return 7 starting position players and 4 pitchers that had 15-innings or more in 2013. After winning the district and sectional last year the expectations for a memorable 2014 are huge. An outstanding group of Seniors led by Western Illinois commit Colton Pogue, Drury commit Austin Simms, and Nebraska commit Reece Eddins. Coach Ben Baier is excited about the Pre-Season #1 ranking, but understands that there is a target on their back.  Needless to say, the Jaguars are very anxious to get on the field this year.
