 OUTLOOK:   

The loss of Shane Benes for the season is a tough blow for the returning Class 4 Missouri Champions. Adversity creates opportunity. For Benes, it creates an opportunity to display his leadership and character. For the team, it creates an opportunity for other players to strive to fill the void and shine. They return 7 starting position players and 3 pitchers that had 15-innings or more in 2013. Westminster Christian will be led by a large group of seniors including, Shane Benes, Brett Bond, Tyler Catlett, Collin Einertson, Brennan Hehner, Caleb Hicks, Kyle Kinner, and Jordan Smith. Coach Van Gilst also expects big production from junior Luke Matheny. Westminster Christian is the MHSBCA Pre-Season #1 in Missouri Class 4.
