The Hotlist: A Historical Look At The Future Games

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games begin Thursday with workouts, followed by games on Friday and Saturday. The event puts uncommitted prospects—rising juniors plus select sophomores—from the PBR coverage area in front of dozens of college recruiters. 2011 MVP: Ryne Roper, SS/RHP, Harrisburg HS, IL
Roper collected five hits and drove in three runs in two games while pitching two shutout innings with an 85-87 mph fastball. Within 24 hours of the conclusion of the event, Roper verbally committed to Illinois, where he just completed his freshman season.
