Top Ranked Class of 2014 Players Commit

OF Monte Harrison from Lee’s Summit West HS, the No. 3 ranked player in the Missouri Class of 2014 rankings and No. 16 in the combined rankings, has committed to the University of Nebraska to play both baseball and football. Harrison could be the best overall athlete in the state of Missouri. A standout football player as well as top level baseball player have scouts hoping baseball is the route he takes in the long run. Harrison hits for power and average, as well as showing speed on the base path and ability to track down fly balls in the outfield.  He was one of the fastest runners at the Tournament Of Stars, running the 60-yard dash in 6.62 seconds while gliding to balls in the outfield. He also showed one of the best arms, making strong throws at a low trajectory with good carry.

C Nic Perkins from Francis Howell HS, ranked No. 9 in Missouri and No. 59 in the combined rankings, has made his commitment to the University of Mississippi. A member of Team Missouri in the Class of 2014 Midwest Future Games, the 6-foot-2, 215 Perkins showed to be a projectable catcher, recording pop times of 1.86 and 1.91 at 75-78 mph, At the plate, Perkins uses a strong lower half and a compact swing to drive the ball gap-to-gap, with good power.  Perkins joins fellow Midwest Future Games teammate RHP Brady Feigl in committing to Mississippi and is the 12th commitment from the Midwest Future Games Missouri squad.
