Carolan is a lean framed 5-foot-11, 165-pound, right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2021 class out of St. John Vianney HS. At the event, he ran a 6.96 second 60 and a 4.66 home-to-first. At the plate, exit velocity of 85 mph, starts in a taller and upright position,  in line stride, leverages front side, level bat path, showed hard contact during round. Behind the plate, starts in a more narrow stance, momentum towards second base, short arm action, over the top release, pop times between 2.03 and 2.25 seconds, positional velo of 71 mph, mostly accurate throws.

10/20/18 - Carolan is a 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. At the event he ran a 6.93 second 60 yard dash, 4.40 home-to-first and posted an 86 mph exit velocity, second highest recorded at the event. During batting practice, Carolan starts with a wide stance, quiet load, in line stride, level bat path, extension through the baseball, showed hard contact and plus pop to left field. Defensively, Carolan has clean transfers, longer arm action, high three-quarter arm slot, pop times between 2.14 and 2.20 seconds, positional velocity of 60 mph. On the mound, Carolan has long levers, projectable frame, loose clean arm action, simple delivery, repeats, across the body with stride, high three-quarter arm slot.
