Currently, Zack Lazenby  (Parkway Central, 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 195-pound three-year starting quarterback leading the Colts to an 8-1 record and a #3 rank in Missouri Class 5.  He has his ready to begin the state playoffs and make a run at the state championship.  But, last spring he was busy leading the Parkway Central baseball team in home runs, RBI, slugging percentage and triples.

Along with Lazenby's athletic ability and leadership skills, his stats are pretty attractive as well.  As a junior, Lazenby had a .340 batting average with 28 hits, 25 RBI, a .765 slugging percentage, and six home runs.  The Colts finished the season with a 19-9 record, with 6 of their losses coming to top 10 teams in the St. Louis area.

Lazenby mentioned, "One of the highlights of our year was knocking off Westminster, 3-2.  I ended the game with an unassisted double play with the bases loaded".

At the PBR showcase last June, Lazenby was perhaps the best overall athlete of the event. At the plate, Lazenby has extremely strong ands and a strong lower half, producing fast bat speed. His swing is short and compact, driving the ball hard with backspin carry to the gaps, showing some pull side power. In the field, Lazenby has a good approach to the ball, with a quick clean exchange and short, quick arm action. His throws had some life and were all accurate across the diamond, with an event best velocity of 85-mph. Additioanlly, Lazenby posted a 6.90 in the 60. Lazenby is also a state champion and All-American in Racquetball.  He plays for the St. Louis Prospects in the summer.

Lindenwood, Southeast Missouri, and SIU-C are among the schools interested in Lazenby.  He has a 24 ACT and a 3.0 GPA and looks to enter the teacher education program once he starts his classes.
