Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Liberty RHP Ross Juliana

By Sean Duncan
Executive Director

Ross Juliana, RHP, Liberty HS, MO, 2014
Juliana emerged at the Kansas City Prospect Showcase last February as a prospect to pay close attention to.  With an athletic 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame and plenty of room to develop physically, the right-hander opened eyes with a consistent 84-85 mph fastball from a high-3/4 slot. His arm works free and easily while showing clean, repeatable mechanics. He also showcased a 70-72 mph curveball and a 71-73 mph changeup that had some arm-side sink when down in the zone.

Currently ranked No. 40 in Missouri’s 2014 class, Juliana is one of the top uncommitted right-handed prospects in the state. He followed up his showing at the PBR Kansas City Prospect Showcase with a solid season for Liberty HS, serving as the team’s ace.

Juliana, who plays for Building Champions in the fall, said on Wednesday he has taken visits to Creighton, St. Louis and Lindenwood, with an upcoming visit set at Central Missouri.
