The 2023 Future Games continues tomorrow with the first day of gameplay. Team New Jersey takes on Team Georgia at 7pm. Take a look below at the rotation and some notes on the arms for Team NJ this year.

Jake Marciano LHP / Donovan Catholic, NJ / 2025

Currently ranked No.6 in New Jerseys 2025 class, No.249 overall. Athletic lean build, fluid arm action, 3/4 slot. The fastball sits consistently in the 85-88 range. Slider 1/7 shape creating a lot of swing and miss. Changeup with fade 74-76. Marciano burst onto the scene this high school season. Seems with each outing he gets better. Features a lot of loose levers with easy operation.

 

 

Joseph Vaccarella RHP / Gloucester Catholic, NJ / 2025

Big, broad shouldered 6-foot-4 210-pound frame. Fastball sits consistently in the mid to upper 80s at 85-87 touching 88 with some late life. Features two separate breaking balls, a smaller, later 10/4 cutter at 81-82 and a true slider at 71-73. Flashes a changeup at 79-81 with some armside fade. Has pitched a bunch of big innings in his high school career thus far.

 

 

James Hare RHP / Ranney, NJ / 2025

Physical 6-foot-2 200-pounds. Easy, repeatable mechanics, high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 85-87 touching 88 with 2269 max rpm. Breaker has big 12/6 top to bottom break at 74-75 with 2436 rpm and 71.8% spin efficiency. Strike thrower, competitor.

 

 

Dawson Guerard RHP / Roxbury, NJ / 2025

Durable, XL frame at 6-foot-3 220-pounds. Long, easy arm action with some whip to finish. Fastball sits mostly 83-85 touching 86. Slider shows flashes of a strikeout pitch stuff at 73-75. Repeats well.

 

 

Luke Wood LHP / Pennsville, NJ / 2025

Lean, athletic 6-foot 160-pound frame. Future Games participant from 2022. Fastball sits in the low to mid 80s, touching 86-87 on occasion. Commands a slider and changeup for strikes, both in the low to mid 70s. Ultra competitor and strike thrower.

 

 

Brendan Lewis RHP / St. Joseph's Montvale, NJ / 2025

Broad shouldered 5-foot-11, 180lb frame. Built lower half, shoulder tilt, keeps direction. Fastball 84-86 touching 87. 12/6 curveball in the 68-73 range. Changeup 72-76 lots of fade. Had a great showing at NJ state games. Sets up his pitches well, creating a lot of strikeouts with his mix.

 

 

Ryan Holman RHP / Delbarton , NJ / 2025

Athletic built, 6 foot 185lb frame, fluid arm action, high leg lift. Features a fastball in the 85-86 touching 87. True 12/6 curveball in the 78-79 range. Changeup in the low 70’s. Gets down the mound with ease, mixes 3 pitches for strikes. Pitched some valuable relief innings for a powerhouse Delbarton program.

 

 

 

Zach Fronio LHP / North Hunterdon, NJ / 2025

Recently decommitted. Set to take the mound for Team Select in the 2023 Futures Games. The No.9 ranked player in the class will pitch the 3rd and 4th innings today at 3pm EST against Team Missouri. Fronio is 6-foot-4, 198 pound, broad shouldered. Fastball 83-85 range with a lot of arm side run. Has a pair of breaking balls, Curveball slower 12/6 at 63-66 and a slider 2/8 73-75. This high school season for Rutgers Prep the southpaw pitched 34 innings, 1.65 era, struck out 51 and only walked 11. Big frame and a lot more velo to come.
