Scout Day Season: Top Exit Velocity

To finish up the Scout Day Season Top Performers we take a look at the Top Exit Velocities with multiple prospects hitting the 100+ mph mark. Uncommitted 2021 IF/RHP Julian Molto-Herrera continues to climb the ladder as a legit prospect with the numbers he put up at the Bishop Gorman Scout Day. Earning a spot in the Top Performers in the Top Infield Velocity (87 mph), Top Outfield Velocity (89 mph), Fastest 60 Time (6.69) and now the Top Exit Velocity in the State with an elite 101 mph off the bat, Molto-Herrera is a prospect primed for a breakout junior season at Bishop Gorman. 

The Top Exit Velocities list featured multiple other high end Uncommitted prospects including Desert Oasis’ 2021 1B/LHP Jacob Walsh (98 mph Exit Velocity) who was a huge piece in the Diamondback’s State Championship run last year and Rancho’s 2021 C Ian Graf (99 mph Exit Velocity) who has added some serious size to his 6-foot-3 frame, looking to bump us his power numbers from his sophomore campaign. 

The Top Exit Velocity list also features three Northern Nevada prospects, Bishop Manogue’s 2020 IF/RHP two-way prospect, Jack Weise (94 mph Exit Velocity) and UNLV commit, 2020 OF/1B Rylan Charles (93 mph Exit Velocity) as well as McQueen’s 2021 1B/LHP Kaiden Regan (93 mph Exit Velocity) who left the yard with easy to the pull side multiple times throughout his batting practice session. 

The Exit Velocity statistic allows us to gage the raw exit velocity the ball takes off the prospects bat from a stationary position and shows raw power that prospects supply on their own. It is another way for scouts to separate players and with the help of our new deal with Blast Motion, we will be able to dive into event more swing analytics for each prospect who attends a Prep Baseball Report event. #BeSeen
