2018 Gordon Hogben, LHP (Saratoga HS)
6-foot-0, 165 pound Left Handed Pitcher struck out 9 batters in 3.2 IP in relief for the win.  Starts facing home plate, left foot on middle of the rubber, right foot off. Brings knee up slightly past belt. Arm action is long and throws from a side arm to low 3/4 slot. Minimal use of lower half or drive off mound. Fastball sits low to mid 70’s.  Mixes in a lateral action slider that produced several swing and misses. Works fast and sneaks up on hitters.

2018 Devin Disonell, 3B/SS (Shenendehowa/ St. John Fisher)
6-foot-0, RHH 3B with slim, athletic frame.  Flashes an excellent glove that can play at 3B, SS or 2B with a strong arm.  He has a good approach through the ball, with soft hands, throws with a high 3/4 arm action, plays through the ball, and has accuracy on the target. Disonell isn’t going to light up the stat sheet but he is a gamer who comes to play every day.  Lunch pail type player who is an emotional leader for the Plainsmen. 3 for 4 in double header versus Saratoga.

2018 CF Noah Grandjean (LaSalle Institute / Bridgeport)
Athletic build, plus runner with an average arm. The swing works and the hands are free. Hits leadoff, needs to establish better strike zone awareness but has a solid skill set to play at the next level.

2018 OF Cory Listing (LaSalle Institute / Bridgeport Commit)
Started on the mound, plus 3/4 slot and direction is not aligned. The fastball touched 79 MPH, and the slider was 68-70. Showed a good knuckleball, the pitch has plus rotation and depth. The command of the fastball is in question.

2020 RHP Carmen Erno (Columbia)
5-foot-7, 165 pound quick armed right-hander. The delivery is online and repeated, does run away from his arm at times. The feet are online. The fastball sat 81-83 and touched 84 MPH. The changeup is a work in progress, sitting at 73 MPH. The spin pitch is uphill, comes out of the hand to soon, sat at 68-69 MPH.   Helped lead Columbia over LaSalle in 1st round of Class AA Sectionals with 6 IP, 11k’s and 3 H. Good looking younger arm.

2018 LHP Ben Seiler (Albany Academy / Siena Commit)
6-foot-5, 250-pound left-hander. The fastball has run, sat at 84-86, touched 87. The spin pitch is excellent, 74-76 mph with plus depth. The changeup is still a work in progress, 80 mph, too hard at times. The delivery is online, the slot is slightly above 3/4 and clean. Good feel for pitching and upside for the future.

2018 EJ Birch (Albany Academy / Suffolk University)
6-foot-4, 220-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball was 81-82, touching 83 MPH. The small spin pitch was 74/75 mph, needs to continue to develop a feel for the pitch. The changeup is his best pitch, fade and sink at 72/73 mph. The delivery is clean, online, and the slot is above 3/4. The glove comes across the hitters face. Solid frame who needs to continue to develop.

2019 3B/RHP Ethan Baldwin (Ogdensburg)
Baldwin at the plate was 3-4 hitting three hard singles driving in 1 RBI. Stole second base twice in fastball counts with good jumps and quick foot speed. Made three athletic plays at 3B on only three chances of the game with strong accurate throws across the diamond. Big body with smooth mechanics at the plate and defensively. Carries himself well on the field with good body language and a smart baseball IQ.

2018 INF Mark Faello (Plainview)
6-foot-0, 170-pound second baseman. Athletic build, plus runner, plus arm. Great energy out on the field. Arm plays on the left side of the infield. Balanced stance with quick hands. Could incorporate his legs more for added power. Slight leg kick, with quiet hands before explosion through the zone.

2018 OF Tyler Marinaccio (Plainview)
5-foot-11, 160-pound outfielder. Slight frame, with above average power for his size. Gets his arms out extended well, which creates power to all fields. Uses his back leg and hips well throughout his swing. Above average arm from the OF. Good reads all day, has a good motor and a great first step to the ball.

2020 RHP Derek Livingston (Port Washington)
6-foot-0, 170- pound RHP Has a lot of room to grow in his tall lanky frame. 80-84 MPH with his fastball, and has good control to the outer half with it. Has above average feel to a sharp-breaking 11-5 Curve. Legs and arms time up well with each other, and transfer into an above average extension. Can transfer better into his landing leg. When he adds onto his frame, the velocity can be in the upper 80’s. Loose and has fun out on the mound. Definite follow.
