A look at the MIF performers from July 15th, Buffalo open I.D event. WNY has some talent in the middle of the diamond.

Brett Migliore SS/MIF (Wellsville HS, NY 2016)
Migliore stands 5-foot-10 165-pounds with an athletic build. At the plate he swings from the left side, using a balanced approach, back load with no stride. His swing path is level through the zone and pure. His exit velocity was 81 mph. From the infield he gets around the ball with smooth hands and a quick release. He throws from a high 3/4 slot at 79 mph across the diamond.

Dominic Cecere SS (Williamsville North HS, NY 2015)
Cecere stands 5-foot-10 160-pounds and lean. At the plate he has an athletic wide approach, very small stride and bat path is level through the zone making good solid contact. His exit velocity was 82 mph. He fields the ball smooth baseball actions, quick hands and a clean release. He throws from a high 3/4 slot at 77 mph but has more in the tank. He ran 7.1 60.

Cameron Ringo RHP/MIF (Hamburg HS, NY 2015)
Ringo stands 5-foot-11 160-pounds athletic, and has room for growth. At the plate he sets up balanced and athletic. He uses a toe tap and back load before the swing. His bat path is level through the zone with his hands staying above the barrel. His exit velocity was 85 mph off a tee. From the MIF he shows a clean glove with fast transfer and an above average arm from a high 3/4 slot at 84 mph. He ran a 6.89 showing great athleticism.

Matthew Kruszka RHP/MIF (Gowanda HS, NY 2017)
Kruszka stands 5-foot-7 155-pounds and is lean. At the plate he stands balanced with his bat on his shoulder. He uses a back load and a knee lift for timing. His bat path is level through the zone keeping hands inside the ball with a nice high finish. His exit velocity was 79 mph. From the MIF he fields the ball wide and funnels the ball high before his release. Plays a little raw but is young, moves his feet fast and throws form a low 3/4 slot at 75 mph across the field. He ran a 7.3 60 yard dash.

Leugim Castillo SS/MIF (Lancaster HS, NY 2017)
Castillo stands 6-foot-2 185-pounds and has great size and a projectable athletic build. At the plate he put on a BP display. His stance is open with weight on his back leg. He uses a stride before the swing and his bat path is pretty level through the zone. He gets great extension producing some serious power and finishes high. His exit velocity was 84 mph. From the infield he works athletically and stays wide fielding the ball out in front of his body. He moves laterally well and has very quick, clean hands. He throws from a mid/high 3/4 slot at 70 mph. He ran a 6.89 60.    

Joseph Kruszka RHP/SS (Gowanda HS, NY 2016)
.Kruska stands 5-foot-7 160-pounds and athletic. At the plate he sets up wide and balanced and uses a knee lift with a short stride before the swing. His bat path is slightly inclined through the zone making consistent contact. His exit velocity is 77 off a tee. In the MIF he fields the ball in front of his body but crouched down and uses a long arm from a mid 3/4 slot at 80 mph. He ran a 7.4 60.

Kyle Waple MIF (Lockport HS, NY 2015)
Waple stands 5-foot-9 145-pounds and athletic. At the plate he sets up athletic with his hands at shoulder level. He takes a long stride and his bat path is level through the zone with good extension and a bat speed of 75 mph off a tee. At the infield position he stays low and fields the ball out in front. He throws from a mid 3/4 slot at 77 mph. He needs to follow his throws for more accuracy and power. He ran a 8.05 60 yard dash.

Justin Collins RHP/SS (Williamsville East HS, NY 2015)
Collins stands 6-foot-2 170-pounds with a projectable frame. At the plate he sets up with his hands high, balanced with weight back. He drops his hands on the pitch and has a bat path slightly inclined through the zone. His exit velocity off a tee was 77 mph. From the MIF he fields the ball out in front and bent over, uses a over the top slot at 79 mph. He uses a straight back arm action but clean and gets through his throws. He ran 7.32 60 yard dash.

Drew Ailing 3B (Clarence HS, NY 2015)
Ailing stands 5-foot-11 160-pounds. His approach is balanced with a back load and short toe lift before the swing. His bat path is slightly inclined through the zone with a one handed shoulder finish. His exit velocity was 80 mph off a tee. From the infield he stays behind the ball, funnels it nice to his body and throws from a high 3/4 slot. His arm strength 77 across the diamond and ran a 7.4 60.
