Commitment Corner Q and A

PBR:     Tell us all about your recruitment process, when it started, and why you decided to commit to ? (enter your school into this question)

Kosowsky: I started visiting colleges at the end of my sophomore year of high school. I visited many colleges across the country while playing for Bobby Valentine’s X Fury team. I chose Fairleigh Dickinson in December of my junior year because they had everything I was looking for: my major (sports administration), a high quality baseball program (including solid coaches and players with a like minded approach at training), and commitment to success.

PBR:  Looking at your skillset on the baseball field, what would you say your biggest strength at the next-level will be?

Kosowsky:
I am willing to put in the work to help my team reach the goal that we set, no matter what my role is.

PBR:  What’s your No. 1 priority going into the Winter in terms of getting prepared for next spring?

Kosowsky:  I will continue to work on building the five strengths that I’ve grown over the years: arm strength, consistency and power in the batter’s box, fielding the ball smoother and my speed in the basepaths. Overall, when the season rolls around I want to be able to do as much as I can to help my school team in the spring, then my summer team and eventually Fairleigh Dickinson.

PBR:  Who is your biggest influence when it comes to playing the game of baseball?

Kosowsky:  My coach and father, Jamie Kosowsky,  helps me get physically better day-in-day-out at the Bomber’s Bunker (my team’s indoor facility in upstate New York). On top of the physical attributes he helped me attain over the years, he’s been there for me on the mental side as well; being my biggest critic and also my number one fan.

PBR: Prep Baseball Report’s No. 1 goal is to provide players with an unrivaled platform filled with next-level exposure through events and multi-media avenues. What’s your experience been with us?

Kosowsky: Over the years I’ve been to a handful of showcases held by PBR. I strived, and succeeded to be better at each of these showcases in terms of increasing my skills at each event I attended. PBR made the recruitment process so much easier by allowing me to use these numbers that I attained and exposing them to the schools that had mutual interest in me as I had in them.
