Rochester, NY - With nearly 70 college baseball coaches and professional scouts in attendance, the 2015 PBR New York Games offered high-level players the ability to show-off their skill-sets in a showcase setting and also in live games over three-full-days. The Rochester region of NYS was selected to host the first ever PBR NY Games with action being held at St. John Fisher, Colburn Park in Newark, Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology and University of Rochester – all top-flight venues.

Players were exposed to artificial turf, natural grass, day and night games. Rain certainly hindered some of the play but we couldn’t be happier with the facilities and game action over the course of the three-days. Already, three players have committed to division one programs from the event, with a handful more now taking official visits in Aug. The timing of the event is perfect for recruiting, the parents and fans that stuck with us over three-long days of baseball were greatly appreciated by our entire staff and the players. It was a memorable event and we are already looking at making year-two an even better event come next summer. We could of wrote about every player, and we will this week when we release full-team analysis, but here’s the Inside look at our games notes on a few of the players from each of the six regional teams.

** Futures Insider coming this week.

Southern Tier

The eventual games champion had plenty of talent to boast.  It came down to the Thursday game at R.I.T. as Southern Tier had to knock off Eastern and with a double digit offensive outburst took home the trophy. Evan Threehouse, RHP, Olean HS, NY (2016) stood out as one of the top arms at the event.
