Scouting Report     
Bowrosen, an impressive left-handed hitting 3B/RHP 2020 grad from Miller Place HS, stands at 5-foot-10 and 150-pounds. He ran a 7.47 60. Offensively- Open upright stance with feet slightly more than shoulder width apart. Swing is initiated with the front foot striding and hands remain back creating balanced separation. Young left handed hitter showed ability to drive the ball with authority to all fields, using the left and right center gaps. Hands stay behind the rotation of the hips nicely. Recorded an exit velocity of 79 MPH. Defensively- Well balanced with clean fluid movements to the ball. Fields the ball creating a hop, with the ball off the left side of the body. Funnels the ball to the center of the body, good separation and showed an above average arm for his age, recording a positional velocity of 74 MPH. Pitching- Starts in the center of the pitching rubber. Drop steps towards first base to get the body into the gathered position from the wind-up. Clean and loose arm. Throws from an over the top arm angle, showing peak FB velocity at 80 MPH. Was able to repeat the delivery and arm angle on the off-speed pitches as well. Curveball showed a velocity of 61 MPH, while the change-up showed a good differential at 70 MPH. This 2020 grad projects well and is a definite follow over the next few years.

 
What to Expect
"The 2020 grad displayed some cool confidence back at our Long Island event in August. Handles the bat well from the left side, looking to see a more aggressive lower half and quicker transitions at 3B. With preseason events the measurables can be difficult to predict but with physical maturity that happens with younger players, there often can be a bump. We are excited to see one of Long Island's top young talents on display on January 16th. "
