On Deck Preview: Preseason All-State Southern Tier

Zander Teator SS / RHP / Saratoga Springs, NY / 2022

What to expect:  Zander is a 5’11 160lb LH hitting infielder, with good instincts in the field and a short compact swing (90mph exit velo). He is able to keep the game simple and fundamental which benefits his game. He looks to have the ability to play any position on the field. On the mound he was up to 82 from the right side at the NY Futures Games in September of 2020.

What we'd like to see: We would like to see him continue to increase his foot speed and positional throwing velocity. A jump in those two categories could help him grab some more attention down the road.

Luke Petryszak SS / RHP / Portville , NY / 2024

What to Expect: Luke will be a good player to follow in the coming years. As a 2024 graduate he stands 6’1 170 and has been up to 80 on the mound. He has shown above average strength in all parts of his game that will continue to improve. At SS he is able to move his feet throughout the fielding process which allows his throws to have carry and life to his target. Look for Luke to pop some high numbers in all categories this Pre Season.

What we'd like to see: As he continues to learn to use his body to his advantage, his measurables will increase and be a bonus on top of his already impressive athleticism. Overall strength and size will prove to be very beneficial for Luke.

Jason Pipher SS / OF / Waverly , NY / 2024

What to expect: Jason shows solid fundamentals on both sides of the ball. In the infield he has great feet with a glove that always seems to be in the right spot to make the catch. At the plate, he swings it from the left side with intent. He packs a punch (85mph exit velo) at 5’8 150 and with time he should grow into a good sized MIF.

What we'd like to see: Though he may be a little undersized, he makes up for it with effort and intent. We believe he will continue to play with a lot of energy and fill out in his young body to create more power on both sides of the ball.
