Scouting Report
Pitching - Standing 5-foot-10, 175-pounds with a strong lower-half, starting with somewhat of a methodical pace to his delivery before he drives towards home. Knee loads above his belt, arm action is shorter with above average hand-speed. Releases the fastball from a high-3/4 slot, arm side run, topping out at 82 mph, sitting 79-80 which is up from his last event (Jan, 2016) where he maxed 78. Curveball spins with 1/7 shape from the shorter arm-action sitting 68-72 with a consistent break, some sharper than others. Overall Cady continues to get better, leaving little doubt that we have seen his best yet. Defensively- As an outfielder he has a controled approach; at times breaking down to a knee. Short, over the top arm action with some carry. Offensively- At the plate he sits deep in his stance with controlled load back. Decent overall aggression through the legs with some bat whip through the zone.

"Cady is a prime example of getting to know a player, see them workout and then follow their progress. We've watched him climb the velocity ladder from 77MPH to 82 MPH. His breaking ball has improved and he's started to make a name for himself. We can't wait to see more. Although he has showed well as a position player, his long term projection sits higher on the mound. "
