Scouting Report on Ringo
Cameron Ringo RHP/MIF (Hamburg HS, NY 2015)

Ringo stands 5-foot-11 160-pounds athletic, and has room for growth. He throws from an over the top arm slot with a fastball sitting 86-88 mph with hard action. His breaking ball was 66-71 and came out like his fastball, he was erratic with it releasing ball too early. Mechanically he rushes a touch and needs to finish more over front side. His arm works fast with good hand speed.

At the plate he sets up balanced and athletic. He uses a toe tap and back load before the swing. His bat path is level through the zone with his hands staying above the barrel. His exit velocity was 85 mph off a tee.

Analysis:
Ringo could play second base or shortstop in college there is no question. He runs well and is athletic, and has quick hands allowing himself to make pitch by pitch adjustments at the plate. I have no doubt he could be a dual player in college, but it would have to be the right fit. He projects as a RHP in my eyes because of his raw arm strength and athleticism. This kid with some serious weight training and arm care program is going to be very good. He's already touching 88 mph with late life on the fastball and he's only 160 pounds. He's lean and loose and I have watched video on him and in person, I like how his arm works quick with great hand speed. He will be at our Top Prospect Games and could put on a great show for the schools in attendance.
