Super 60 Spotlight: Maxx Yehl

On Sunday, Feb. 6, Prep Baseball Report will host the 20th edition of its prestigious, flagship event: the Super 60 Pro Showcase. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 25 first-round picks and 26 second-rounders.

We've started our march toward the Super 60 by highlighting the prospects set to join us, shining a light on their impressive player profiles that they've groomed through their high school careers, leading them to this point, vying for the attention of the pro scouting community.


Scouting Report

7/06/20

Physical: 6-foot-4, 185 pounds; high waisted; long, projectable frame.

 Pitching: Builds momentum with a high leg lift and slight turn before getting into back side and driving out to a repeatable release point. Long, fluid arm action to a high 3/4 release. FB: T 87 MPH, 85-86 MPH. Jumps out of the hand and gets on the batter quick coming out of an average release height of 6', release side of 2'2" and 6'2' of extension. CB: 76-77 MPH. Plus pitch with 2-8 shape; average spin of 2560 RPM, average vertical drop of 6.9 inches and average horizontal movement of 15.1 inches. SL: 76-77 MPH. Plus movement with 2:45-8:45 shape averaging 2.2 inches of vertical drop and 17.8 inches of horizontal movement.
