Scouting Report
Stands 6-foot-5, 180-pounds with a tall lean frame. The dual guy showed tremendous upside throughout the event starting with an impressive round of BP consistently barreling balls up and showing above average power for a 2018. The tools are strong across the board running a 7.02 60, 89-mph exit speed and a 83-mph from the outfield. Offensively- Sets up balanced with hands above ear level. Attacks the ball with slight loop and steady incline. Uses his lower half well allowing the hips to clear and generate power. Pitching- On the mound he posts tall on his backside and works with slow deliberate tempo down hill. With raw mechanics he's been 80-83-mph. CB sat 68-70. With increased work on the mound and arm strength he projects to be a potential high velocity kid in the coming years.

"Long, lean and athletic. Gathers himself well in the outfield, staying behind the ball with his body in proper position; throws are accurate with carry. At the plate Szableski has a strong upside but would like to see him repeat his timing and swing path, tools are there. On the mound his arm action is long and clean, working through a 3/4 slot. Front side can open creating an inconsistent release point. Above average feel and action on 12-to-6 CB. Once his actions are repetitive and he fills out that frame, expect him to reach that high ceiling."
